Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use localStorage, a similar browser feature that keeps preferences on your device only. Neither technology can run code or access other data on your device.
Essential storage (always active)
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off:
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in and secures forms against CSRF attacks.
- Theme preference (localStorage) — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
- Cookie consent choice (localStorage) — remembers that you accepted this policy so the banner does not reappear.
- PWA preference (localStorage) — remembers if you installed the app or dismissed the install suggestion.
Preference & personalization
- Language / subtitle preferences — remembers your audio and subtitle language choices.
- Watch progress — stored for logged-in users to sync "Continue watching" across devices. For guests, playback position is kept locally in localStorage only.
Analytics & third parties
We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate usage (page views, searches, watch starts).
This sets cookies such as _ga. Analytics payloads never include passwords,
tokens or payment details. Third-party payment providers (Stripe, Paystack, PayPal, PayU)
may set their own cookies during checkout; those are governed by their respective policies.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent login and some features from working. To change your analytics consent, clear site data for this domain and the banner will be shown again.
